His performance excellence brought him recognitions and appreciations form District, Multiple and International. That includes Six time International presidents Appreciation Certificate, International leadership medal, International President's Gold medal, International President's Plaque for Top Third Membership Growth in World, Knights of the Blind medallion, Lion of the year in Entire South India Multiple and VishwaSewaRatna Award just to give a glimpse to the tip of the iceberg of the Awards he has been bestowed upon year after year.

Lion Purohit has been the Chief Editor of Lions Update for six times and was declared best in entire south India. He was the first to make Lions Update online. Lion Purohit is a past District Cabinet Secretary. His terms as Global Impact Team leader, Global Membership Team Coordinator and Global Leadership Team coordinator became Landmarks and are remembered for the records he created. As GLT Coordinator he surpassed all records of the District. He had left his mark amongst the all India Vice Governors by winning Awards at their Schoolings not just at National level but at International Level too during DG Training at St. Charles, Chicago.

As Governor Lion Purohit led his District during the most challenging period during Covid ensuring unprecedented performance. During his Governorship his District stood Top in retention at Multiple, Among Top Ten in India in Service, Top in world for 100% reporting. 42 Mjf were added and 40 lakhs donated to Campaign 100 another record. For the first time his District received 6 Grants for LCI & LCIF during a Year. He was the first Governor to get a wide coverage in our International magazine. By his motivation his District became the first in entire World by 100% clubs donating to Campaign 100. 7 New Clubs and 10 New Leo Clubs were extended. For the first time a substantial Amount of over Seven Lakhs was contributed for upgrading, Expansions and emergency needs of Permanent Projects of Club in his District. He received International Special recognitions for Membership Growth and LCIF Contributions. He thus earned himself the name of Star Governor of the District.

As GST Coordinator of Multiple 320 Lion Purohit worked meticulously to improve online Service Reporting by Clubs in Multiple and could achieved the distinction of being the First Multiple in the World during 2021-22 to Record 100% reporting by all the clubs in all 7 Districts of the Multiple. He initiated E-Waste Collection drive in Multiple in 2022-23 and motivated all Districts to do excellent work for protection of Environment as part of largest E Waste collection drive taken Pan India by Lions.

He authored two highly successful and internationally acclaimed publications Steps 2 Success and The Key to Success for Club Leaders.

Lion Purohit is Faculty Development Institute Graduate form LCI and RLLI Graduate too. He is an Internationally Certified Lions Instructor by Lions International. He is a popular Installation officer, Faculty, Trainer and Coach. He is also instrumental in extending several New Lions Clubs, to some he is the Extention Chairperson and Guiding Lion. Lion Purohit is trustee to Lions Heart and Eye Foundation and Lions Oncology Block at NIMS.

Professionally he is a successful Practicing Chartered Accountant and also cleared his Cost Accountancy, both together in a record time. He is widely travelled to several Prominent Countries.

Lion Purohit hails from the most prestigious Rajpurohit family, their forefathers being Rajpurohit of various kingdoms from kannauz in UP to Jodhpur in Rajasthan.

Lion Purohit is happily married to Lion Vijaylaxmi Raj purohit, the couple are blessed with one son Lion Ishanrajpurohit who is Director Operations with a Multinational Company at Singapore and daughter in law LaitaSoumya handles operations of the Singapore Airlines and a cute Grandson IjayRajpurohit completes the family.
