INTRODUCTION

Lion Dr. Ramesh Guzar was inducted into Lionism in 1979. He served his club as Secretary and as President with distinction. He had opportunity to serve the district as zone chairman and several times as district chairperson. Hecontributed enormously to the growth of the organisation when he was made ZMA. He received certificates of recognition from International President, District Governors, Extension Award, District Governors Leo Extension Award. He bagged the annual best presentation award of Multiple 324, 100% President, outstanding district chairman award, outstanding zone chairman award and committed lion award. As district chairman for the mentally retarded, he did excellent work. He organised several detection and awareness camps when he was district chairperson for diabetes.

Lion Guzar is associated with several other social and religious organisations such as Shri ShirdiSai Baba Trust offering yeoman services by providing facilities and help to the needy pilgrims. He was president of Shri Raj Mata Devi SadharmaSadhanaNilayam. He is member of PrajapithaBrahmakumari. He was instrumental in the construction and running Lions School run by his home club offering education up to the tenth standard. He was Secretary of Karnataka Brahma Maharashtra and president of its affiliated body Maharashtra Mandal. He is President of Association of Family Physicians Raichur Chapter and Vice President of Central Executive Committee Federation of Family Physicians Association of India, Mumbai. He is Vice President of ChathrapathyShivaji D.A.V. Secondary School, Chennai catering to the studentsupto 10th Standard of CBSE Syllabus and Managing Director of Guzar Architects Raichur and Chennai. Teaching faculty in Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences in the Department of Medicines.

He is married to Lion Prof. Latha and they are blessed with two sons and a daughter.
