He was initiated into Lions Club of Hyderabad Central, later became Charter President of Lions Club of Hyderabad Neo Elite, awarded as Best Zone Chairman & District Chairman and the prestigious award as Lion of the District for two terms in the year 2006-07 and 2008-09. He is elected as District Governorforthe year 2010-11 unanimously.
He has attended 4 International Conventions at Minneapolis, Sydney Korea, Honolulu, Japan and ISSAME at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kenya, Dubai, Kathmandu and Kolkata. He received 100% District Governor Award. Received Appreciation Certificates from 5 International Presidents. He has widely travelled to USA, Canada, China, Mauritius, Dubai, Kenya, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Japan, Lesotho, South Africa, Nepal & Turkey.
He is a successful businessman leading his own group of companies. He has been honored by Presidents of India, Prime Minister, State Governors and other WI P's for his services. Lion S.S. Malhotra has been honored by the then U.S. President George W. Bush through his letter of appreciation for his excellent services during his visit to Indian School of Business at Hyderabad along with his wife Laura.

Lion S S Malhotra is the proud son of Late Sri Jagdish Singh Malhotra and SmtJoginder Kaur Malhotra. He is happily married to MrsSurinder Kaur. They are blessed with two sons Dharampal Singh and Maninder Singh and a daughter SimranKhurana. All of them are well placed in their respective professions. The couple is blessed with two Grandson's Uttam&Chetan& Grand-daughter SarvgunChildren of Dharampal and Akitaa, Grandson Gurveer Singh Malhotra and Ustath D/o Maninder Singh and BalwantKaur , Grand-daughter Sifat and Grandson Gursimar Children of SimranKhurana.
